The importance of well-being at Digimind

Digimind, a global leader in social listening and competitive intelligence SaaS Software, is committed to the well-being of its employees through different initiatives.

Benevolence is one of Digimind's values; we work together to improve the lives of our clients, fellow employees, and the community at large.

1- Training policy to develop professional and personal skills

Digimind places high importance on its employees' health and well-being, and the ongoing training programs encourage personal growth and continuous skill improvement.

Digimind’s interactive platform offers self-paced learning courses with a blend of instructor-led sessions, e-learning courses and hands-on exercises for beginners and experts on different topics. Each Digiminders is an actor of collective learning and participates in the creation of internal e-training or by animating live sessions for all Digimind teams on Fridays. This innovative and collaborative approach creates value individually and collectively. Everyone can contribute to the internal training and enhance the expertise of the employees and give visibility internally. One can access various amounts of training even if it is not correlated to their responsibilities.

For instance, Digimind created Workplace Ergonomic training for all employees to learn how to set up their workstations to prevent health stressors. The goal of this training is to educate Digiminders about work-related musculoskeletal disorders; identify risk factors that can contribute to the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders; determine solutions to mitigate these risk factors; and provide resources for further reading.

Giving Digiminders the chance to grow can revitalize them and change the way they view their jobs. Programs for holistic training and development value diversity and promote learning based on personal preferences and life experiences. Enhancing collaboration and fostering knowledge of other employees' cultures and values results in more inclusive and cohesive teams.

2- Hybrid policy and great venues

Furthermore, with three days of remote work and fantastic locations in the city centre for the days on-site, Digimind provides a great work-life balance.

3- Team building and CSR commitment

To further integrate well-being, initiatives are put in places, such as Digiminders participating in the Climate Fresk, a collaborative and engaging way to learn more about the climate system and the consequences of its disruption, and a Diversity lunch to celebrate cultural diversity in the workplace. Indeed, Digimind has many employees from all over the world, so everyone brought a dish from their country or region to be shared with the office. All employees learned more about their colleagues and got together after being apart for the summer holidays.

Since April 2021, eleven motivated Digiminders from various offices across the world have made a commitment to working on real-world improvements to the company's CSR plan. To increase employee knowledge, the CSR Advocates publish an article every three months on a CSR project they are involved in locally with their teams or about a topic that has an impact on them.

Karima El Youbi’s tips on well-being

Karima El Youbi is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the Rabat office of Digimind. She is also part of our CSR advocate team and shared with Digiminders tips on health and safety - the importance of physical activity.

To Karima, anticipation is key, spreading awareness about well-being (physical/mental/emotional..) can prevent issues that have a direct and serious impact on us long-term. Given that there's always something we "could have done", she’d like to switch our focus on what "we can do now", in any given circumstance, in order to better take care of ourselves and treat our body and mind the way we deserve!

“You’re probably reading this from your desk (or your bed-desk thanks to WFH), aren’t you? The World Health Organization states that physical activity is « any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that require energy expenditure. » So yes, cleaning your cat litter box and running to your laptop’s charger before the battery dies in the middle of a meeting are extreme sports.

The benefits of physical activity are numerous! In adults, higher levels of physical activity improve mental and cognitive health, sleep, and prevents falls and risk of cardiovascular disease. We can all think of at least 5 benefits of physical activity and try to add them to our daily to-dos. How about we write them in our well-being/me-time section? After all, your physical and mental well-being-oriented habits should be pleasurable!

Limiting the time spent being sedentary and including any activity of any intensity in your day, even at-desk movements. For adults living with disabilities, inclusive and/or wheelchair-specific sports and activities are recommended to at least decrease the amount of recreational screen time. In sum, let’s move it move it!”
