Digimind unveils the 1st development framework entirely dedicated to competitive intelligence systems

Based on J2EE and web service technologies, the “Digimind Prism” framework forms the foundation of Digimind Evolution, the leading integrated CI platform in France. “Digimind Prism” offers considerable advantages for implementing customized CI workflows. Its flexibility, open architecture and unrivalled solidity stand it in perfect stead to support and manage increasingly complex CI projects on behalf of some of Europe’s most substantial corporations.

The Grenoble-based provider has always proved to be extremely reactive and innovative in the face of increasingly complex CI projects and ever greater demands made on Digimind Evolution by major European corporations; while at the same time ensuring the continued solidity and reliability of its products and services.

The secret of this key competitive advantage is “Digimind Prism”, our development framework. Based on J2EE technology and web service standards, “Digimind prism” is a toolbox which is entirely dedicated to CI systems. The framework was developed by Digimind’s R&D center in Grenoble.

All components required for rapid development of customized CI solutions

The fruit of an R&D program consisting of tens of man-years, supported by the OSEO-ANVAR, the development framework groups onto three levels all components required for the rapid development of customized CI solutions:

• “Core Services” are made up of low-level components such as “Digimind Scheduler”, which orchestrates APIs, or “Digimind Persistence” which maximizes data access;
• “Connectors” enable access to information wherever it may be and handle almost all connection protocols (authentication, encryption, cookies…);
• the “Content Process System” contains automated processing functions, such as automatic language recognition, automatic extraction of news or named entities, automatic categorization or clustering….

Innovation, reactivity, open build and solidity

Thanks to the highly modular nature of J2EE, to the flexibility of service oriented architecture (SOA), since the framework is Microsoft .Net compatible and uses standard formats (SOAP, WSDL, XML, EJB, MVC2, JMX, JMS, JTA, JAAS, JDO, RMI/CORBA), new components can be integrated extremely swiftly without requiring further development work and web services can be created easily.

The open build makes it simple for our customers and our partners in systems integration to incorporate all or part of Digimind Evolution into their own information systems.
