ULIS confirms its decision to deploy Digimind’s intelligence solution.

ULIS was able to see for itself the advantages of the Evolution platform when visiting one of Digimind’s customers and the visit confirmed their choice: the global and collaborative approach of the Digimind Evolution platform provides a perfect fit to meet the company’s intelligence needs.

ULIS officially launched its business in June 2002. A subsidiary of both CEA and Sofradir with its production centre in Veurey since 1987, ULIS is dedicated to developing and selling a range of uncooled infrared detectors resulting from specialised micro-bolometer technology perfected by the “Léti” (Laboratory for electronics, technology and instrumentation). This technology centres on the use of an amorphous silicon thermometer which is produced using micro-electronic silicon technologies, reducing manufacturing costs to a minimum while delivering increased reliability.

With 2,500m² of space available on their Veurey Voroize site including 500m² of testing cleanrooms, the company’s production capacity can attain 50,000 detectors per year in order to supply the practically 100% export market.

Although this infrared technology was originally exclusively destined for military use, this development has led to adaptation to the civilian market, particularly the fields of industrial preventive maintenance, civilian security, medical imaging, the biomedical and veterinary sectors, domestic technology and the automotive industry.
